Teresa Cason, better known as “TC”, is a real estate
professional and one of the top agents in Sussex
County. A Rehoboth resident for many years, she was
actively recruited into real estate by the area’s
largest broker. Prior to real estate, TC worked
twenty years in the information technology industry.
As a senior manager for major corporations like
Oracle Corporation and Sun Microsystems, TC provided
sales and consulting expertise in the
telecommunications & financial services sectors. She
has been a guest speaker on technology subjects
throughout the United States.
Using her technology and sales proficiency in the
real estate arena, TC has established a successful
new career in real estate. In her first three years
in the business, her sales totaled more than
$20,000,000. In 2005, she as the recipient of the
Executive Club award for her sales
performance in 2004, closing in excess of $8.7
million in home sales. Her focus is residential,
investment, commercial and development/builder real
estate projects. By providing a high level of
customer service, TC makes the process easier for
her clients from home selection to settlement. Her
expertise, knowledge of the area, tremendous
business network and great personality make her a

In her
spare time, TC works with children as a Big Sister
for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware. She
actively participates in fundraising activities,
public speaking and financial management for several
volunteer organizations including the Mautner
Project in Washington, DC.
While living in DC and Rehoboth Beach, she has
participated in middle school career programs and
was selected to be one of several women featured in
a book in the Cool Careers for Girls series.

Valerie Vander
Putten
Val started her real
estate career in the South Central Pennsylvania area
in June 2004, upon graduation from Penn State
College in Middletown. Val graduated with a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Management, with a focus in
Marketing. While attending college, she became
interested in selling real estate and started taking
classes regarding the real estate industry. Upon
completion of the real estate licensing course and
after passing her exam, Val decided to join Jack
Gaughen Real Estate, working with the #1 real estate
agent in the office.
Val moved to Sussex County, Delaware in April 2005,
for a change of scenery and a chance to learn about
a new real estate market. She joined a local real
estate firm and was the office manager for the top
agent of that office. She gained more knowledge of
real estate, while taking classes to obtain her
Delaware real estate license. She graduated in
October 2004, and has been active with real estate
since. Recently, Val decided to move to Keller
Williams Realty at the Beach and join the Realty
with Heart Team. She will continue to take classes
to become an even more effective Realtor.
Val will act as a Buyers Agent for the Realty with
Heart team. As buyers agent, Val will work with
buyers as a principal in the purchase process; thus,
ensuring a buyer centric focus throughout the buyer
process.
Val has made a commitment to support Meals on Wheels
Lewes/Rehoboth. Through this commitment, Val is
promoting health and support of the choice of
independence by preparing and delivering nutritious,
affordable meals to people in need of this service.
Carol
Dize
A native of Sussex
County, Carol was born and raised in Georgetown,
Delaware. She started her Real Estate career in
2006. Prior to her career in Real Estate, Carol
worked for 10 years as a Certified Occupational
Therapy Assistant (COTA) at the Sussex Consortium in
Lewes, Delaware. The Consortium is a specialized
school for Autistic children. As a COTA, Carol has
also worked in long-term care, rehabilitation, and
home health, providing therapy services to our
community’s young and elderly. She also received a
Bachelor Degree in Behavioral Science in 2005.
Since receiving her license in 2006, Carol has
joined the Realty with Heart Team at Keller Williams
Realty at the Beach Market Center located on
Savannah Road in Lewes, Delaware. Carol continues to
demonstrate a thorough approach to finding the right
property for her clients. Her business approach has
allowed her to obtain significant sized commercial
listings for the team. To further her career, she
will continue her education to better serve her
clients.
As a member of the Realty with Heart Team, Carol has
made a commitment to support the Ronald McDonald
House of Delaware. Through her commitment she will
help provide safety and support to children and
families in times of medical need.
